Grand Teton Music Festival. Since 1962, this summer symphony has been wowing audiences in the world-reknowned Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village. Under the direction of Maestro Donald Runnicles, the festival presents full orchestra concerts Friday and Saturday in July and the first half of August, and smaller ensembles Tuesday to Thursday. Pole-Pedal-Paddle. This event is a mini-marathon, ski-cycle-boat relay race, usually held the last Saturday of March, starting at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and finishing in Snake River Canyon. 307/733–6433.


ElkFest. The third weekend of May features a free, two-day festival centered on the Jackson Hole Boy Scout Elk Antler Auction, where thousands of pounds of naturally shed antlers are sold to the highest bidder. Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum. Each summer the Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum sponsors lectures and historic downtown walking tours. The Shootout. Gunslingers stage the Shootout in the summer at 6 pm daily (except Sunday) on the northeast corner of the Jackson Town Square. Don't worry, the bullets aren't real. 307/733–3316.
