Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures and Asheville Treetops Adventure Park. Billed as the region's first "urban" canopy tour, this park is on 125 acres in West Asheville, on the grounds of the Crowne Plaza Resort. There are 11 zipline sections up to 1,200 feet long, 9 treetop platforms, 3 adventure tower platforms, and 3 sky bridges. In the same area is the Asheville Treetops Adventure Park, a group of 50 climbing, zipping, walking, jumping, swinging, and rappelling challenges anchored to around 30 trees. Navitat Canopy Adventures. Zip through the treetops at Navitat, which has two different zip-line complexes in Madison County, north of Asheville. One has 10 zip lines, ranging from 120 to 1,100 feet in length, with hiking trails, two sky bridges, and two rappeling areas. The other has three "racing style" zip lines as long as 3,600-feet. The zip lines have a 70- to 90-pound minimum and 250-pound maximum weight limit. You need to be able to walk about a mile and be in generally good health, and admission is from $79. From the welcome center, it is a seven-minute-ride on a rough-terrain vehicle to the tour entry trail.
