Although you can fly to Jaipur, most people get here either by train or road. The train station and the city's main bus stand are less than half a mile apart, so if you don't have much luggage and need to transfer from a bus to train, or vice versa, you can easily walk from one to another.

To get around in the city, auto-rickshaws are your best bet; cycle-rickshaws are equally good for short distances—just be sure to negotiate a fare before you climb aboard. Note that parts of the walled Pink City get very congested during rush hours, so you may find it easier to walk through this part of town.
