Jadrolinija runs a regular ferry service between Dubrovnik and Bari (Italy). Ferries depart from Bari late in the evening, arriving in Dubrovnik early the next morning, with a similar schedule from Dubrovnik to Bari and some traveling in the afternoon (journey time approximately eight hours either direction). The same Jadrolinija vessel covers the coastal route, departing from Rijeka twice weekly in the evening to arrive in Dubrovnik the following day. From Dubrovnik the ferries depart mid-morning to arrive in Rijeka early the following morning (journey time approximately 23 hours in either direction). The ferry calls at Korčula, Stari Grad (island of Hvar), Sobra (on Mljet), and Split along the way. From Dubrovnik, Jadrolinija also runs daily ferries to the Elafiti Islands (Koločep, Lopud, and Šipan), Sobra (island of Mljet), and Split. There are two ways to get to Mljet; a slow ferry which takes around three hours, or the faster (but more expensive) Nona Ana, a high-speed catamaran operated by G&V Line, running daily from Gruž Harbor in Dubrovnik to Sobra and Polače, with a journey time of approximately 90 minutes. Nona Ana also travels to Korčula and Lastovo in July and August. Through summer (June–September), water taxis run regularly between Cavtat waterfront and Dubrovnik’s Old Harbour; you can show up and buy a ticket, which costs around 70 Kn one-way (there is usually some space to bargain). Last, but not least, the island of Korčula is connected to the Pelješac Peninsula by a Jadrolinija car-ferry service (you can jump on even without a car) operating several times a day between Orebić and Domince (2 km [1 mile] from Korčula Town) or a Mediteranska Plovidba passenger ferry between Orebić and Korčula Town. Ticket price is around 15 Kn one-way.

The best place for information about transport, or to buy tickets, is Avansa Travel. They have a very comprehensive website and an office located in Travel Corner across the street from the ferry terminal in Gruž. The staff is very friendly and will simplify everything for you.
