Pomaire is easy to find. It’s clearly signposted to the right off the Autopista del Sol (Ruta 78). You can also take the Ruta Bus 78 buses, which depart frequently from Terminal San Borja in downtown Santiago and leave you at the turnoff to Pomaire, 2 km (1 mile) from the village. Once you get to the tiny village, it’s small enough to get around on foot. To return to Santiago, simply walk back to the highway and hail the first bus, or in the late afternoon, wait at the church and take a bus back to Santiago (earlier in the day you have to make a connection in Melipilla).
