Vienna's railway system is undergoing an extensive overhaul. By 2015, the former Südbahnhof will have been converted into the city's main railway station for national and international travel. In the meantime, trains from Germany, Switzerland, and western Austria arrive at the Westbahnhof (West Station), located on Europaplatz. If you're coming from Italy or Hungary, you'll generally arrive at the temporary Meidling Bahnhof. There are currently two stations for trains to and from Prague and Warsaw: Wien Praterstern Bahnhof and Franz-Josef Bahnhof.
