With the assistance of a good road map you shouldn't have too many problems driving in and out of Sydney, thanks to the decent freeway system. However, driving a car around Sydney is not recommended because of congestion and lack of parking space. If you decide to drive a rental car, it will cost between A$75 and A$85 per day. Local operator Bayswater Car Rental has cars from as little as A$27 per day (on a seven-day rental plan) for a one-year-old vehicle. Camper-vans that sleep two people can be hired from operator Jucy Rentals for A$75 a day and A$130 in the January peak season.
